PHOTOGRAPH. The symbol team and MVP of the first stage of the Ukrainian Cup have been announced

The first stage took place from 11 to 15 December in Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk and the Dnieper. Ukrainian Cup among men’s teams.

According to the results of the first stage matches, “Kiev-Basket”, “Prykarpattya-Hoverla”, “Dnepr” and BC “Zaporozhye”, which was in F4 as the lucky losers, made it to the Final Four. Zaporozhye advanced to the semi-finals by losing the quarter-final match to Prykarpattia-Hoverla with the smallest margin -7 (73:80).

Final Four matches will be played in March at the home ground of one of the participants in the decisive stage of the tournament.

According to the results of the matches of the first stage of the Ukrainian Cup, a symbolic five was determined, which included players from three clubs:

• Sergey Startsev (“Prykarpattya-Hoverla”) – 13.0 points, 9.5 assists (PE 15.5)
• Mikhail Bublik (“Kiev-Basket”) – 18.0 points, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals (PE 17.0)
• Ilya Kabatsyura (“Prykarpattya-Hoverla”) – 17.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists (PE 19.5)
• Daniil Sypalo (“Dnepr”) – 16.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists (PE 22.0)
• Yaroslav Karpyuk (“Kiev-Basket”) – 13.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.0 blocked shots (PE 25.5)

The MVP of the stage was Kyiv-Basket’s center Yaroslav Karpyuk. He recorded a double-double in the first game, scoring 19 points with 13 rebounds. In the match against Kharkiv Falcons, Karpyuk also excelled behind the rebounds, collecting 10 rebounds.
