KOVAL about the Cup semi-finalists: “They are the strongest teams at the moment”

Dnepr Technical Director Vladimir Koval He commented on the victory against Stary Lutsk in the Ukrainian Cup match (82:72) and shared his thoughts on the composition of the participants in the Final Four.

– As coaches, “Old Lutsk” did not surprise us. We understood very well how they would play and we tried to convey this to the players. However, it seems that he also surprised the rival basketball players. Before the match, we said that everyone should be as determined as possible from the first minutes.

We started well, scored goals, took the lead, but then we relaxed. They stopped defending properly and forgot what they talked about in the locker room and on video.

In the second half, the team remembered everything and showed character. It was a real cup game to reach the Final Four and win the cup. It’s good to have matches like this.
