“Dnepr” defeated “Old Lutsk” in the 1/4 finals of the Ukrainian Cup and will thus continue to defend the title of tournament winner in the Final Four.
After the first quarter was equal, Nikita Voevoda team managed to make an attack in the second 10 minutes and gained an 8-point lead before the long break. “Old Lutsk” failed to hold on to the current trophy holders in the third quarter: “Dnepr” won the third ten minutes 26:11 and took the lead, no longer giving up the scoring advantage to the opponent. “Old Lutsk” had the opportunity, but as a lucky loser, could not maintain a sufficient score difference to advance to the Final Four.
While Dnepr won the cup quarter-final match, the best player of the match was Vladimir Konev with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (PE 25). Dnipro captain Stanislav Timofeenko had a double-double with 19 points and 8 rebounds, and Daniil Sypalo had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds (PE 19). The top scorer of the Lutsk team was Lorenzo Anderson with 22 points.
“Dnepr” joined “Kyiv-Basket” and “Prykarpattia-Hoverla” in the Final Four. As a lucky loser, the fourth semi-finalist was BC “Zaporozhye”, which lost the quarter-final match by the smallest margin (-7).
