FIBA inducts NBA champion Nowitzki into Hall of Fame

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has included former Dallas Mavericks basketball player Dirk Nowitzki into the Hall of Fame, the organization’s press service reports.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on April 21 in Berlin.
Along with Nowitzki, players Sue Bird (USA), Celine Dumerc (France), Clarisse Machanguana (Mozambique), Ismenia Pochar (Chile), Hedo Turkoglu (Turkey) and Wang Zhizhi (China), as well as coach Ludwik Miette-Mikolajewicz (Poland) will also be inducted into the hall of fame.
Nowitzki, 47 years old, won the NBA championship with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011 and was named Finals MVP. Together with the German national team, he became the bronze medalist of the World Championship (2002) and the silver medalist of the European Championship (2005).
