NBA match referee injured his leg and left the court in a wheelchair
Basketball referee Bill Kennedy suffered a leg injury during the NBA regular season match between the Orlando Magic and the Philadelphia 76ers, ESPN reports.
At the end of the first quarter, 59-year-old Kennedy limped badly after another sharp jerk. Orlando called a timeout so Kennedy could receive first aid, but he was unable to continue the match. The judge was taken from the court in a wheelchair.
After Kennedy left, referees James Williams and Michael Smith had to work together for the rest of the game. Philadelphia won with a score of 103:91.
