By decision of the board of directors of the Zenit basketball club, head coach Alexander Sekulic was removed from his duties
The head coach of St. Petersburg Zenit, Alexander Sekulic, has been suspended from his duties, the press service of the basketball club reports.
Maxim Uchaikin was appointed acting head coach. Sekulic took charge of Zenit in June; the contract with the 47-year-old Slovenian specialist is for the 2025/26 season with the possibility of extension under the “1+1” scheme.

The team’s preparation for the match of the 22nd round of the regular season of the VTB United League against MBA-MAI will take place under the leadership of Maxim Uchaikin, who will temporarily serve as head coach, Zenit said in a statement.
In the current season of the VTB League, Zenit won 13 victories and suffered 8 defeats, the team is in fifth place in the standings.
