Belarusian specialist Vergun has been appointed interim head coach of the basketball team “Zenith”
Belarusian specialist Rostislav Vergun joined the coaching staff and was appointed interim head coach of Zenit, the press service of the basketball club reports.
The contract with the 43-year-old coach runs until the end of the 2025/26 season. Earlier, Vergun left Ekaterinburg Uralmash.
On January 20, the head coach of Zenit St. Petersburg, Alexander Sekulic, was suspended from his duties.
In the current season of the VTB League, Zenit won 13 victories and suffered 8 defeats, the team is in fifth place in the standings.
