The concert doesn’t end if the Clippers don’t sing

The Clippers have done it again and Vassilis Skountis looks back on their epic comeback and puts Luke Kenard in the same vein as Reggie Miller and Tracy McGrady!

That will be a reversal or – as the colloquialism demands today – a reversal!

I’m referring to the Clippers who did it again against the Wizards last night and proved the pear has a tail behind it!

This is no longer true, as Californians fighting without Kauai Leonard and Paul George reduced these great and spectacular upheavals to science, proving that indeed “no concert ends unless the fat comes out!”

My speciality, as Thanasis Vengos used to say to Lambros Konstantaras in the movie “Lisa and the Others”.

The déjà vu and the millions of victims

Five nights ago in Philadelphia, the Clippers came back from -24 (44-68) against the Sixers and prevailed 102-101.

A prisoner, but there had been plenty of those for the last few years before what happened at dawn today made any headlines…

They had preceded their -25 (34-59) comeback on Jan. 11, 2022 to throw the Nuggets with a score of 87-85.

On March 22, 2021, the Clippers defeated eventual East finalists the Hawks, who were 22 points clear (88-66) but then saw the…radishes on their heads and lost 119-110.

Man and the fulfillment of the rejected

That fall turned out to be… the trailer of the next, which after half a century of patience and courage sealed the first in the chronicle and with it their historic qualification for the finals of the West!

The Clippers turned the hands of the clock (in the sense of meaning a reversal on the night of 18) in the sixth semi-final with the jazz and played their own hard rock, which prevailed 131-119.

From -31 on the Warriors

The Clippers had presented that specialty on April 15, 2019 when they returned in the second game of the playoff series with the Warriors of -31!

The Dubs then led 94-63 and showed they could easily go 2-0, but the Clippers denied the prevailing mood and recorded the win 135-131.

Yesterday the same thing happened again at Washington’s Capital One Arena to prove history doesn’t repeat itself, it just moves on…

Her specialty is saying and writing these!

“I have no words”

Eighty seconds before the break, the Wizards were up 66-31, but the Clippers didn’t give up and found the road that leads from Hell to Paradise by 116-115!

“I have no words,” Badley confessed to Bill from the condition of…stroke!

The Clippers’ epic comeback of -35 is the second-biggest since the 1996-97 season when play-by-play was introduced in the NBA: The same epic pulled off the Sacramento Kings in 2009 against the Bulls while they were ranked 11th in the 2009 season ended One of the upheavals is that of Jazz returning from -36 against the Nuggets in 1996.

The Clippers forced the capitalists to watch the sky fly by: they also saw the so-called nemesis in the face of Luke Kenard, who looked like the reincarnation of Reggie Miller and Tracy McGrady…

I speak by addresses and names so here is the evidence…

When Miller…became a killer!

On May 7, 1995, in Game 1 of the shocking Eastern Conference Semifinals series at Madison Square Garden, the Pacers defeated Nice 107-105 with Miller changing the first letter of his last name…

It didn’t happen for the first time in his career, but that night… Lucifer was spit on and Miller actually turned him into… Killer!

What did the bagasse do? He scored eight points in the last 18”8 seconds, forcing the Knicks, who led 105-99, to see green, red and yellow butterflies!

He put in a shot from 7.25, then stole the ball in the rebound’s pass, scored another three in the cap that put the match on a straight line (105-105) and, for dessert, added two more points with free throws.

Pastoral care without a doubt…

McGrady’s crescendo

Last night, Kenard had seven points in the last nine seconds: a three-pointer from a time-out and a four-pointer from the Wizards’ 5-foot offense, with Bill fouling the Clippers’ blonde guard.

On December 9, 2004 at the Toyota Center in Houston, it took Tracy McGrady 33 seconds to score 13 points and knock off the Spurs’ heads.

The eventual NBA champions were 49” up 10 points and many spectators had started to leave the stands, but those rushing home still had their heads against the wall for a unique one-man lost the show!

The two-time NBA leading scorer (2003, 2004) lunarized and hit four three-pointers, including a four-way game against nobody but against tough defenders like Malik Rose, Tim Duncan and most notably Bruce Bowen.

When the horn blew the final score was 81-80, while the match commentator watched Tmac rage he admitted the obvious…

«I do not believe that»!

And he wasn’t the only one who couldn’t believe his eyes…

PLEKHANOV: “There are also a few points I would like to point out”

Head coach of “Kharkov Falcons” Valery Plekhanov He summarized the team’s 2025 results and talked about the preparations for the continuation of the season:

“Summing up the results of the calendar year, I want to congratulate all our fans on the upcoming New Year and Merry Christmas, wish our favorite team peace and good victories! “Kharkov Falcons” are the first players of this Super League season, so second place at the moment is a good result.

There are a few points we would like to emphasize separately. First of all, seven players from last season’s active squad won the Premier League together, but five of them never played in the Super League. Therefore, the experience they gained in the first half of this season is almost priceless. Secondly, Kharkiv Falcons are one of the two champion teams that did not play a single match at home. It’s very difficult when you’re not playing for your fans, you’re training in one gym, and you’re playing in a different gym every time, even on home tours. In these conditions, 4 defeats in 13 matches is a good result.

One of the most negative moments of this year was not being able to participate in the last four of the Ukrainian Cup. Unfortunately, we were a little unlucky in the draw. After an emotionally difficult and physically exhausting match with Krivbass, we did not have enough strength for the next match against Kiev-Basket in the quarter-finals. Unfortunately, our performances in the cup are over, but now we will be able to focus all our efforts on the championship.

Our main problem now is injuries. We have five injured players, three of whom have serious injuries that require a long recovery period. We’re about to get off to a very tough start to the new calendar season because the Falcons will be playing basketball six weekends in a row, which means six road trips with no rest time. If we could count on all twelve players in the squad at the beginning of the season, there will no longer be such a rotation. Therefore, all the responsibility and burden will fall on the players in the rankings. I hope they get over their injuries in the new year, recover from their injuries as soon as possible, return to work and help their beloved club properly represent Kharkiv in the Super League.

Despite the holidays, we have training scheduled almost seven days a week. “I really hope that by January 10 we will be a combat-ready team that can solve serious problems.”
