DJ STEFENS: Almost signed with Budivelnik in the summer
Last season, DJ Stephens was one of the leaders of the team that created a stir in the Champions League. During the summer, Stephens returned to Prometheus despite receiving other offers.
“I received many offers during the summer, including from Italy. I got an offer including Budivelnik. I almost signed and returned to Budivelnik.
However, when the offer came from Prometheus, I accepted because I had been a part of the team for two years. I feel that the president loves me very much and the fans love me very much and support the Ukrainian basketball players who have played with me for the past 2 years. We are quite comfortable together. You know how it goes, you know what we play, you know what to do. This is also a very comfortable situation for the coach because the backbone of the team has been protected for the last year and a half. I know what you expect from me. And now we will play together in Eurocup. And that’s an even higher level where you have to work harder,” said DJ Stephens.
