Ukraine national team will play with European champions
The Ukrainian men’s team will play the third trial match in the friendly tournament in Istanbul today, on August 13. Ainars Bagatskis team will face the last European champion Slovenian team. The match starts at 20:00 Kyiv time.
Our team played two matches before in the capital of Turkey, where it lost to the host of the tournament and confidently defeated the Polish team.
The Slovenes defeated the Turks in overtime (104:103) the day before, and before that they won their control matches against the Netherlands (83:76) and Montenegro (70:52).
Slovenes who came to Istanbul with the strongest squad, especially star defenders Luka Doncic and Goran Dragic, are expected to take part in the match.
In EuroBasket, Slovenia will play in Cologne, where they will face Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, France, Bosnia and Herzegovina in the group round.
