Ukraine U-16 national team won a tough victory over Ireland
Ukraine U-16 men’s team defeated their Irish peers (88:67) in the fourth round match of the B Division European Championship group stage.
Despite the final result, the victory for the Ukrainian team was not easy. During the match, the advantage passed from one team to the other. Ukraine won the first quarter (22:17), but the teams went to the big break with the Irish advantage (39:45).
In fact, only in the last quarter, the Ukrainians’ advantage was unconditional – a 5-0 move at the start of this ten-minute period allowed Ireland to lead 63:59, but for the remainder the Irish simply scored. 4 points reflected in the leaderboard with a crushing victory of Ukraine.
