NBA: Durant “pulls” the situation with the Nets, the possibility of not showing up at training camp is visible
Kevin Durant’s demands to stay with the Nets are extreme and his desire to leave is strong, with reporter Brian Windhorst considering the possibility that “KD” won’t show up for the team’s preseason.
Relations between Kevin Durant and the Nets have been tenuous as the team’s star has requested a trade or departure of the team’s coach and GM. The Brooklyn team seemed unwilling to meet his second demand to keep him, and the team’s owner publicly betrayed him in support of Nash and Marks.
Now the Nets are looking for a team to discuss a potential trade, with the Sixers considering making a move for Durant. According to the well-known journalist ESPN’s Brian Windhorst sees a possibility that “KD” won’t appear in pre-team as he doesn’t plan to “put water in his wine”.
Durant might not have thought of that a few days ago, but now that his relationships with the team are sore and his “wishes” aren’t being met, it’s very possible.
“If you had asked me a week ago if Durant would be absent preseason if there was no trade, I would have told you, difficult. Now I see it, it’s a visible scenario. That’s where we’re going.”said Brian Windhorst.
