Moraitis – Kouseloglou have been dropped from the national team, they continue at 16 ahead of the Acropolis tournament

With 16 players, the Greek national team continues its preparation for qualifying for the 2023 World Cup and EuroBasket 2022 as Dimitris Itoudis drops two more players.

Men’s national team preparation continues without Yiannis Kouseloglou and Dimitris Moraitis as they are the newcomers ahead of the Acropolis tournament after Giorgos Tanoulis, Lefteris Mantzoukas, Alexandros Antetokounmpo and Homeros Netzipoglou, who had already said goodbye since last week.

The Acropolis (17-19/8) is the dress rehearsal for the official World Cup qualifiers (Serbia away on 25/8 and Belgium at home on 28/8) before heading to the 2022 European Championships in Milan.

The first game of the national team is tomorrow, Wednesday (21.00, ERT-1, live from Sportish) against Poland, at 18.00 (ERT Sports 1) Turkey meets Georgia.

Those who continue are: Kalathis, Papanikolaou, Sloukas, Giannis, Thanasis and Costas Antetokounmpo, Papagiannis, Papapetrou, Larentzakis, Agravanis, Kaselakis, Bohorides, Dorsey, Lountzis, Panagiotis Kalaitzakis, Gondikas. Three must be axed on August 30th for the national team to travel to Milan for the EuroBasket group stage on August 31st.
