Gudaitis: ‘I came to a club with great history, derby days are the best’
Artouras Gudaitis referred to his move to the Greens and the Derby of the Centuries on arrival in Greece to prepare Panathinaikos.
Artouras Gudaitis arrived in Athens ahead of the start of preparations for the new season. The Lithuanian center Panathinaikos referred to his move to the Greens, to his coexistence with Papagiannis, but also to the atmosphere of the eternal derbies.
The statements of Gudaitis in detail:
“I know where I came from, to a club with a long history, probably the best in the last 20 years, and there are big demands. I’m really excited about the opportunity given to me and the goal is to win a game and play better every day.”
About his coexistence with Papagiannis: “We can use our passion to make each other better in training and help each other get better throughout the season.”
For roster changes: “I need time to answer. We have players to achieve our goal. But at the moment everything is hypothetical. The coach needs to see us in training, even given the style of play, it’s too early for an answer.”
For Marius Grigonis: “We have a passion for basketball. We know why we are here. We know the history of the club and I’ll repeat it, but it’s important. There are fans who put a lot of trust in the club and we have to give 100% every night because it’s important to them. Grigonis is first of all a great boy and a very talented player who can create and shoot for the team.”
For the eternal derby: “Obviously derby days are the best. Every player dreams of playing in such an atmosphere and you have to enjoy it.”
