Last but not least, Peristeri’s start to this year’s campaign against Bnei was impressive Herzeliya for the Basketball Champions League. Vassilis Spanoulis’ players came into full focus on defence, made the right decisions on offense and somehow built a double-digit lead early on, which made them feel more comfortable.
Not only that, they combined substance with spectacle. The 10 assists for the 1 error in the first period were just the beginning as Peristeri went into the dressing room from “Andreas Papandreou” with an impressive statistic: 14/22 twos, 6/15 threes, 5/6 shots, 15 rebounds, 16 Assists, 2 turnovers, 6 steals and 1 block!
So if the beginning is half the battle, the friends of the blue and white have every reason to smile.
