Things and wonders of Peristeri, who finished with 57 points in the first part of the game against the mighty Tenerife. Check out Vassilis Spanoulis’ team stats.
Unbelievable twenty minutes for Peristeri on Tuesday evening (October 18th) against Tenerife, the big favorites to win the Basketball Champions League. Vassilis Spanoulis’ team played space basketball in the first part of the game, causing excitement among those watching the game either from the field or on TV.
Peristeri went to the dressing room at halftime after scoring 57 points (11/19 two-pointers – 57.9%, 10/14 three-pointers – 71.4%, 5/8 shots – 62.5%) and 21 rebounds scored, 13 more than Tenerife, 12 assists and five steals. Sylvain Francisco was the leader of all with 15 points (2/2 2-pointers, 3/3 three-pointers, 2/2 shots), but whoever stepped on the floor put in a stone, sometimes smaller, sometimes bigger for the 57 -43 of the twenty-second period.
