Prometheus leaves Ukraine for fear of a Russian invasion
Prometheus moves to the Czech Republic to fulfill his European obligations while Russia prepares to invade Ukraine.
The situation in Ukraine is fluid, with information suggesting that Russia is poised to invade the country on a day-to-day if not hourly basis, and Prometheus has their baggage ready to be shipped immediately after Sunday’s game ( 13/2) against Cherkasy Mankis to leave domestic championship.
The men’s team will move to the Czech Republic on an unknown scale, with their domestic and foreign athletes staying and continuing their efforts in the Basketball Champions League, where they will face Romania’s Cluj Napoca. The aim of Prometheus, which also includes former Trikala and Prometheus player Oleksandr Lipovi, is to reach at least the quarterfinals of the BCL.
