The inauguration of the “Stevan Gelovac” gym took place in the presence of his father and sister
AEK honored its late athlete Stevan Gelovats by naming the indoor gym Ano Liosian in his honor. The Serb’s father and sister were present at the humble ceremony and did not hide their pain and emotion.
After the end of today’s (11/18) AEK training session, the modest christening ceremony of the Ano-Liosion indoor sports hall was held in honor of the late Stevan Gelovats.
The unveiling was conducted by Union leader Dimitris Mavroidis, while both the father (Sinisa) and sister (Sara) of Gelovats, who had traveled from Novi Sad to Athens for this special moment, were present. As you can easily see, the atmosphere was highly emotional as the family’s pain is still fresh.
