Rezzo Emilia’s new coach Sakota meets AEK on Wednesday
AEK meet a familiar face when they host Reggio Emilia (7/12, 7.30pm, Cosmote Sport 4 and LIVE by Sportish) on Matchday 5 of the Basketball Champions League after the Italian club announced the deal with Dragan Sakota.
Dragan Sakota, the man who associated his name with some of the most glorious days in AEK basketball history, is now Reggio Emilia’s coach. The Italian club announced this in a statement.
The Serbian coach, who led AEK to the championship in 2002 and to the Basketball Champions League and cup in 2018, is sitting on the Italian bench in the decisive game on Wednesday (December 7th, 7:30 p.m.). 5th match day of the Basketball Champions League, which will decisively decide on the future of the “Union” in the competition.
Sakota replaced Massimiliano Menetti, whose dismissal was announced hours before the Serbian technician’s hiring was announced.
