Strelnieks underwent surgery in Germany
The severe damage to the Achilles tendon was repaired by Janis Strelnieks in a clinic in Germany.
In a polyclinic in Murnau am Staffelse, Bavaria, 70 km from Munich, Janis Strelnieks decided to have an operation to repair the severe injury to the Achilles tendon.
AEK’s Latvian shooting guard, 33, was KO’d in the game against Galatasaray last week and is out for the rest of the current season. He will also inevitably miss the World Cup in Asia.
According to agent Artous Kalnitis’ post on Twitter, the operation was performed by two specialized doctors and everything went according to plan. Now Strelnieks is counting down to his return to action when his recovery is complete and he gets the final OK from doctors.
