FIBA Champions League
The eye-catching Youth BCL trophy and vehicle details
The trophy awarded to Igokea for winning the Youth BCL has a special story.
On the evening of Holy Saturday, April 15, the curtain fell on the Youth BCL, the first event “executed” by FIBA for the infrastructure departments of the teams participating in the Basketball Champions League. FIBA’s concrete move was well received and showed that the BCL is growing at all levels with the goal of establishing itself across Europe.
However, the ways FIBA seeks to show that they are looking ahead are not limited to hosting the Youth BCL, as the trophy awarded to Igokea has its own (special) history.
You see, gamers were the ones curating the design and presenting something very fresh to the audience and the players. Even more impressive was that the winner’s trophy was 3D printed. In fact, it took two days to print in its final form, a process typically used by automakers for some complex parts.
Next the necessary layers of nickel were applied to make the effect even more impressive.
