Aris declares participation in the EuroCup and expects BCL
Aris’s participation in the Basketball Champions League is a burning desire, however, the team from Thessaloniki will also take part in the EuroCup, to be sure in any case.
Aris’ participation in some European competitions in the 2023/24 season is a major concern for the Thessaloniki team. The Basketball Champions League is still a priority for the yellow and blacks, but the EuroCup could act as an alternative plan, as Aris will explain that as everything points to participation there as well.
The deadline for submitting the required supporting documents for the second edition of the EuroLeague is June 15th. However, expression of interest does not necessarily imply consent to participate as this must be the General Assembly of Europe’s leading interclub competition for the first time.
It should also be noted that FIBA and BCL have until June 23 to make their decisions on the participating teams for next season, with Aris hoping to be placed directly in the regular season and not in the qualifiers. If all goes well and Aris finds a place in the BCL, he will withdraw his intention to compete in the EuroCup.
