Kuzminskas has had a long journey on the European courts, playing for the likes of Zalgiris Kaunas, Unicaja Málaga and Armani Milano, while Greece is no stranger to him, having worn the Olympiakos shirt in 2019.
His resume also includes a year-long stint in the NBA with the New York Knicks (2016-17) while playing for Carciyaka in the basketball Champions League groups against AEK last season.
The announcement of the yellow and black OEM in detail:
“AEK BC is pleased to announce the acquisition of Mindaugas Kuzminskas (Mindaugas Kuzminskas, 33 years, 05 2m).
The Lithuanian international has signed a contract until the end of the 2023-2024 season
Mindaugas Kuzminskas was born on October 19, 1989 in Vilnius, Lithuania and is an active member of the Lithuanian national team, with which he won two silver medals in the Eurobasket (2013, 2015).
He started his career at Sakalai in 2006, the following year he competed at Perlas. He wore the Siaulai shirt for two years and his performances in 2010 won him the “pass” for the Zalgiris Kaunas squad.
In Kaunas, Kuzminskas won two championships (2012, 2013), one cup (2011) and one BBL cup (2011), playing a key role (11.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists) while being named the most valuable player of the championship final (2013). His prolific season took him to Spain and Unicaja Malaga (10.4 points, 3 rebounds, 1.1 assists), where he worked with Joan Plata for three years (2013-2016), averaging 34 games.
In the summer of 2016, he made the decision to move to the NBA, where he signed a contract with the New York Knicks (6.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1 assist). In January 2018, he returned to Europe and to Olympia Milan (9.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.7 assists), where he stayed until the summer of 2019, winning a league and a Super Cup. Then he had a short stint at Olympiacos Piraeus and in November 2019 he signed with Lokomotiv Kuban (14.2 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists), where he stayed until 2021. He remained based in Russia but wore the jersey of Turkey’s Karsiyaka (13.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists) now and last season on behalf of Zenit.”

In the past, Fraser of Prometheus asked to leave for personal reasons
A blow for Prometheus, because before two weeks had passed since the agreement with Tim Fraser, he had to terminate the contract of the American, who wanted to leave due to a family problem.
Tim Frazier’s second stint in the Stoiximan Basket League was short-lived after Prometheus announced the termination of his contract just 12 days after his acquisition.
As Patrini revealed, the American asked to leave for personal reasons, with Prometheus respecting his wishes.
Frazier managed to play in just one game with the Patriots – in the 68-71 loss to Dijon in the Basketball Champions League, where he had 8 points and 4 assists – with the only positive for Prometheus being no foreigner Stoiximan Basket League was substituted in the Basketball Champions League because he had not included him in his Greek squad.
The announcement in detail:
“KAE Prometheus Patras announces the amicable solution to its collaboration with Tim Frazier, respecting the exceptional family problem that has arisen for the American athlete. We thank him for his offer and wish him all the best for his career.”
