Youngsters Nikos Plotas and Angelos Lagios continue the 2023/24 season at Prometheus Patras.

Two young children, Nikos Plotas (2004, 1.95m) and Angelos Lagios (2003, 2.02m), who had completed the NOUS program and became members of the youth men’s national team that won the bronze medal at the EuroBasket U20, were taken over by Prometheus in the ranks of Patras.

“KAE Prometheus is pleased to announce the stay of young athlete Nikos Plotas, who will continue to be a member of our team and will continue to increase their efforts for the 2023-24 season.

Nikos Plotas was born on June 12, 2004 in Patras. He is 1.95 tall and starts in positions “1” and “2”. This is a particularly talented athlete that comes from the bowels of the club and the “NOUS” program. He has won medals at Panhellenic Championships from the young age of Prometheus, while also taking the time to compete in the men’s team, the Basket League and the Eurocup.

In the summer of 2023 he was a member of the men’s youth national team, which made us proud by winning the bronze medal at the Eurobasket U20, with the Patrinos guard being instrumental in the progress of our representative group.

We wish Nikos a prosperous path by continuing his hard work while helping to achieve the goals of Prometheus.

KAE Prometheus is pleased to announce that another athlete from the bowels of the club and the “NOUS” program, Angelos Lagios, will remain an active member of the men’s team for the 2023-24 season.

Angelos Lagios was born on April 14, 2003. He is 2.02 tall and plays as a forward. His path in basketball is closely linked to our team as he has been at Prometheus Academy since he was a child and was one of the outstanding athletes which made him a member of the men’s team.

He has been instrumental in the medal wins of the youth and children’s teams of “NOUS” in recent years, he was also a member of the national youth team that won the bronze medal at the European Basketball Championship, in which he did not participate in the games due to an injury.

We wish Angelos to achieve his goals and continue to make progress to contribute to the future success of our team.”

In the past, Fraser of Prometheus asked to leave for personal reasons

A blow for Prometheus, because before two weeks had passed since the agreement with Tim Fraser, he had to terminate the contract of the American, who wanted to leave due to a family problem.

Then they plunge into the battle of the BCL Play-In, PAOK, Peristeri bwin and Prometheus

PAOK, Peristeri bwin and Prometheus have secured their tickets for the BCL Play-Ins and the schedule of games for the three Greek teams has been announced.

Greece continues to have a strong presence in the Basketball Champions League, with AEK Betsson heading straight to the round of 16 and PAOK, Peristeri bwin and Prometheus vying for a place in the next stage via the play-ins.

The exact dates and times of the games of the three Greek teams in the play-ins of the event have been announced by the BCL, with the team that will be selected first in time in the qualifying battle being that of Thessaloniki.

PAOK’s schedule in detail:

1.2., 7:30 p.m., PAOK – Tofas Game 1
September 1st, 7:00 p.m. Tofas – PAOK Game 2
16/1, 19:30 PAOK – Tofas Game 3 (if necessary)

The eight teams that secured a place in the round of 16 and the pairs of the BCL Play-Ins

The group stage of the Basketball Champions League has concluded and the mystery of the teams that will take part in the competition in 2024 has been solved. Read the play-in pairings in detail and of course the teams in first place have already secured their place in the round of 16.

Finale has entered the group stage of the Basketball Champions League and now the situation is clear as to which teams will continue their course in the competition in the new year.

AEK Betsson qualified directly for the round of 16 despite the defeat against Ludwigsburg, while PAOK (defeated against Galatasaray but with home advantage), Peristeri bwin (home disadvantage) and Prometheus (home disadvantage) continue in the play-ins.

Union are placed in Group L of the Round of 16 along with Murcia and the winners of Le Mans/Prometheus and Hapoel Holon/Oostende will complete the group.
