FIBA Champions League
The Israeli teams’ games in the Basketball Champions League have been postponed
FIBA announced that due to the conditions prevailing in Israel, it has postponed the matches of the Israeli teams in the Basketball Champions League and will reschedule them for a later date.
The situation that has prevailed in the Middle East in recent days due to the conflicts between Israel and Palestine is (also) bringing with it changes in the Basketball Champions League.
As FIBA announced, the Israeli teams’ games scheduled for next week – as part of the first competitive tournament – have been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.
In particular, it concerns the game between Hapoel Jerusalem and Benfica (which was scheduled for October 17th) and that of Hapoel Holon against Bonn (which was scheduled for October 18th).
As FIBA added in its announcement, it will continue to monitor developments in order to then make new decisions about the future of the Israeli teams in the competition.
