The security measures for AEK’s home game at the BCL premiere: three controls and a ban on the use of national flags
AEK is preparing for its BCL debut against Ludwigsburg at the Ano Liosion Stadium and the yellow and black KAE have announced the safety measures that will apply for the game (October 17th, 7:30 p.m.).
The time for AEK’s European premiere in the new season is running backwards: Union welcomes Ludwigsburg to the Ano Liosion Stadium on the first matchday of the BCL (October 17th, 7:30 p.m.).
The yellow and black KAE announced the security measures that will apply to the game, which, like the other European games of the season, will only be allowed entry due to the penalty imposed on the team, limiting the access of spectators to 20%.
AEK’s announcement in detail:
“Friends of AEK,
The premiere of the “Queen” in the Basketball Champions League of the 2023-2024 season is getting closer. The “Queen” will face German Ludwigsburg on Tuesday, October 17th at 7:30 p.m. in the Olympic Hall in Ano Liosia and wants to have the people on her side.
Due to the incidents in the last home game of last season against Hapoel Jerusalem and after the meeting held on Friday, October 13th, in the presence of a BCL representative, and in connection with the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), the Arrangement measures for the game next Tuesday as follows:
1. ONLY holders of season tickets, which are not transferable, have access to the Olympic Hall as ID is required at the checkpoint.
2. There are three (3) checks for everyone entering the stadium. The first check will be carried out 300 meters from the facilities, the second in the area around the facilities and the third at the entrance gates in the stadium.
3. The use of banners or posters with political, racist, offensive or anti-sports content/messages is PROHIBITED, the use of smoke generators or sparklers of any kind is PROHIBITED.
4. Our team flags are of course allowed, but national flags are not.
5. By decision of the relevant authorities, security cameras have been increased in all areas of the facilities.
Friends of AEK,
Last season we were injured. From provocateurs…
Our punishment by the FIBA institutions forced us to use only 20% of the stands of our stadium – a fact that deprives the “Queen” of massive support at her games – but also the tightening of the regulatory measures.
We therefore ask you to seriously consider the above-mentioned suggestions from the institutions.
A POTENTIAL VIOLATION OF THE RULES OR ANY OTHER VIOLATION WILL RESULT IN THE AUTOMATIC PUNISHMENT OF OUR TEAM BASED ON A COURT DECISION AND BE EXCLUDED FROM OUR HEADQUARTERS FOR A LONG PERIODS.
Since we know that the vast majority of our fans have proven to us time and again in the past that they behave well and support the “Queen” with their voice and soul, we believe that with spirit and willingness to cooperate we are achieving the obvious can:
WE PROTECT OUR “HOME”.
