Basketball Champions League: No Greek representation in the ’16’
Lavrio bid farewell to the Basketball Champions League, with the organization continuing without a Greek presence from now on.
Lavrio’s exclusion from the rest of the Basketball Champions League put an end not only to the organization but to Greek teams as a whole. After the exclusion of AEK in the group stage and that of Lavrio and PAOK in the play-in, our country no longer has a representative in the Basketball Champions League.
We remind you that Peristeri also took part in the event in the qualifiers, but failed to qualify for the regular season.
In detail, the teams that have already qualified for the “16” of the Basketball Champions League:
- Ludwigsburg (Germany)
- Galatasaray (Turkey)
- Manresa (Spain)
- Tofas (Turkey)
- Unicaja Malaga (Spain)
- Cluj-Napoca (Romania)
- Falko (Hungary)
- Rita (Lithuania)
- Strasbourg (France)
- Treviso (Italy)
The pairs that complete the puzzle:
- Tenerife – Karsiyaka (1-1)
- Hapoel Jerusalem – Prometheus (1-0)
- Dijon 1-0 Riga
- Igokea – Ostend (1-1)
- Hapoel Holon – Besiktas (1-1)
- Burgos – Darussafaka (1-1)
