Basketball Champions League: Burgos secondarily ruled out of ’16’
Darussafaka broke through at Burgos headquarters and was eliminated from the continuation of the Basketball Champions League after winning two straight titles.
The 2022 Basketball Champions League title will end up in hands that don’t belong to Burgos. After the clash of the last two years, the Spanish side bowed out of the tournament early in the play-in against Darussafaka.
‘Dhaka’ caused the upset, winning the title holders (80-68) in the third – and final – game and continuing to fight for glory in Europe. Now fourteen (14) teams have already considered the ticket for the “16” of the Basketball Champions League, with the last two vacancies being judged in the coming days.
We remind you that Greece will not provide a representative for the rest of the tournament as both PAOK and Lavrio failed to make the play-offs against Strasbourg and Treviso respectively.
In detail, the teams that have already qualified for the “16” of the Basketball Champions League:
- Ludwigsburg (Germany)
- Galatasaray (Turkey)
- Manresa (Spain)
- Tofas (Turkey)
- Unicaja Malaga (Spain)
- Cluj-Napoca (Romania)
- Falko (Hungary)
- Rita (Lithuania)
- Strasbourg (France)
- Treviso (Italy)
- Ostend (Belgium)
- Tenerife (Spain)
- Darussafaka (Turkey)
- Hapoel Holon (Israel)
The pairs that complete the puzzle:
- Hapoel Jerusalem – Prometheus (1-0)
- Dijon 1-0 Riga
