FIBA Champions League
Peristeri’s participation in the BCL sealed the deal with Vassilis Spanoulis
Peristeri’s presence in the Basketball Champions League for the 2022/23 season was confirmed, a fact that contributed significantly to Vassilis Spanoulis’ commitment to take over the team’s technical leadership.
Vassilis Spanoulis has reached an agreement with Peristeri. Only the announcement remains. During the talks, the importance of Larissa’s technical presence in the new season’s Basketball Champions League was emphasized, which Peristeri has committed to implement. Something that finally happened.
AEK, PAOK and Peristeri are the teams declared – albeit with reservations – by the EEC for the Basketball Champions League of the 2022-23 season. The presence of the “princes” in the FIBA organization sealed the agreement with Spanoulis. Of course, to do so, Larissa – reaching the Stoiximan Basket League Top 4 – had to choose not to attend the event, which essentially paved the way for Peristeri’s participation and subsequent settlement with Spanoulis.
