PAOK’s preparation for the 2022/23 season begins on August 22nd

PAOK has revealed its preparation plan for the 2022/23 season and announced that the team’s first meeting will be held on August 22.

Through an announcement, PAOK announced its detailed preparation program ahead of the 2022-23 season. As mentioned, the first meeting will take place on August 22nd, while the arrival of the players is expected between August 16th and 20th.

The PAOK announcement gives it in detail:

The countdown to the start of PAOK mateco preparation has begun. Last rest days and our team will enter the preparation process for next season immediately after August 15th.

From Tuesday 16/8 to Saturday 20/8 the arrival of all PAOK mateco players in Thessaloniki is expected to be completed. During this period, players will be medically examined and ergometry tested, while the first training sessions will take place at the PAOK Sports Arena.

Yannick Franke, who takes part in Dutch national team events, will join the PAOK mateco team in September after completing his duties at Eurobasket ’22.

The team’s coach, Mr. Lykogiannis, will travel to Frankfurt and attend the annual seminar for coaches of teams participating in the Basketball Champions League from August 16th to 18th.

On Monday, August 22, 2022, the first official team meeting and training will take place in the PAOK Sports Arena.

PAOK mateco’s preparation schedule includes (so far) the following friendlies.

3/9: Eleftheroupoli – PAOK

7/9: PAOK – Aiantas Evosmou

14/9: PAOK-AEK

17-18/9: Two matches of the tournament organized by Peristeri in Athens with the participation of PAOK, Peristeri, AEK and Romanian Cluj.

21/9: PAOK – MZT Skopje

24/9: Karditsa Biological Village – PAOK

Details of all the above friendlies will be announced shortly.

It is recalled that the first official game of PAOK for the 2022/23 season has been the home game against JDA Dijon on Wednesday 5 October 2022 scheduled for 1 August 2022the Game day of the Basketball Champions League.”
