Barcelona – Girona 88-77: The Blaugrana are in the final of the Catalan league

Sarunas Jasikevicius’ resurgent Barcelona defeated Marc Gasol’s Girona 88-77 to secure their place in the final of the Catalan Championship, where they will face Badalona. This was the first strong test for the Blaugrana, who responded with a multitude of four players in double figures in attack.

Girona tried to stay close to goal but the difference in performance was big and obvious, especially in the fourth quarter when the Blaugrana’s lead turned into double digits.

The first goalscorer for Barcelona was Tomas Satoranski with 13 points while Tobi and Vesely had 10 each. Rokas Yokubaitis had twelve points. Nikola Kalinic stopped at 8 am and Laprovitola at 9 am. Also, Barcelona struggled without Sanli, Martinez and Higgins.

For Girona, Marc Gasol had 6 points while Dusan Miletic was the top scorer with 25 points and 6/8 two-pointers.
