Pure disappointment for Barcelona in the first quarter against Tenerife
Barcelona had a disappointing start to Liga Endesa’s home game against Tenerife, picking up single-digit points with weak percentages.
Barcelona weren’t in great form at the start of the season, which is largely reflected in their productivity. In the Liga Endesa home game against Tenerife, the offensive dysfunction showed up again when Sarunas Jasikevicius’ players scored just ten (10) points in the first period – and they did so by force.
Not only did it take them three and a half minutes to find the goal (with Jan Vesely in the first period at 6’29”), they finished the first period on 10 points, at 3/12 2-pointers, 1/4 3-pointers , 1/5 shots and 2 assists for 5 fouls.
Somehow Tenerife was +2 (12-10) at the end of the first quarter.
