With a knife in his teeth and 20 threes, Valencia ahead of receiving Panathinaikos
Marc Gasol’s Girona proved easy prey for Valencia’s wild spirit in their game before they met Panathinaikos in the EuroLeague.
Valencia looked for a place to break out after back-to-back defeats and they did in Girona. Against the bottom of the Endesa league, the Oranges of Levante prevailed 104:69 and prepared for the next game against Panathinaikos in Fondeta on the 13th day of the EuroLeague.
Alex Moubro saw his players come in with enthusiasm and controlled the game from the first half. Of course, the blast came in the third period with the individual 34-9 allowing them to escape by a gargantuan margin and have since had the required maintenance as next week is doomed.
Valencia finished the game with 53% from three-pointers (20/38) and 30 total assists, thwarting any defensive effort by the visitors. Marc Gasol had 6 points on 6/6 shots, 7 rebounds and 3 assists for Girona.
Valencia’s points (Mubrou): Claver 3(1), Puerto 17 (3/8 3-pointers), Prepelic 12 (3/7 3-pointers), Pradia 7 (1 3-pointers), Webb (3/5 3-pointers) , Lopez-Arostegui 7 (2/6 3-pointers), Jones 9 (1/1 3-pointers, 8 assists), Ferrado 9 (3/4 3-pointers), Radebo 5 (1/3 3-pointers), Dublewicz 2, Alexander 2, Rivero 20 (2/2 3 points, 6 rebounds)
