Bad night for Barcelona who were forced to a 68-63 defeat by Zaragoza’s 17-year-old Adai Mara Gomet.
Tough but a win for Barcelona who beat Zaragoza 68-63 in the Endesa league on Wednesday evening (28/12). Sarunas Jasikevicius’ team finished the game with 44% on twos, 26% on threes and 66% on shots, they had Yokubaitis – Veseli as the first scorers, who scored 12 points and although they didn’t impress, they did the job.
Justinian Jessup’s 21 points (5/7 2-points, 3/7 3-points, 2/2 shots, 7 rebounds) led the way for the losers, who fielded young giant Adai Mara Gometh for 13 minutes and saw how he scored six points. Howard Sant-Ross had 9 points (4/6 2-pointers, 0/3 3-pointers, 1/4 shots), three rebounds and 5 assists in 21:48.
