Victory in extra time for Malaga ahead of AEK, great performance by Peri
Unicaja Málaga won an extra-time double at home to Manresa a few days before their BCL Round of 16 match against AEK.
Málaga needed the additional five minutes to leave the home of Manresa victorious (94:98, 86:86 etc.) as part of the game on matchday 17 of the Liga Endesa, a few days before welcoming AEK (25/01 , 21:30) for the first game in the top 16 of the Basketball Champions League.
Kendrick Perry was the big star among the winners. The former Panathinaikos guard scored 6 of the 21 points (6/8 2-pointers, 2/6 3-pointers, 3/5 shots) in overtime, while in 24’37” he still had 5 assists, 3 steals but also 3 errors.
