Extra time victory for Baskonia against Malaga thanks to the great Kendrick Perry
Kendrick Perry was sensational for Malaga but Baskonia came back from 14 and won in five minutes of overtime.
Baskonia found it dark against Malaga, but managed a brace in extra time (81-89, 78-78 etc.) in the Endesa Liga match on matchday 20.
The hosts led by as much as 14 points (52-38) in the middle of the third period, the Basques completely turned the situation around and led by 3 points (75-78) 33″ before the 40th minute, but Kalinoski sent the game in five Minutes of extra time with a well-placed three of their own, where two long-range shots from new signing Max Heidegger gave the visitors valuable points to seal their 16th win of the season in the Spanish league.
He was also Juan Penaroya’s team’s top scorer with 18 points. Vanja Marinkovic and Darius Thompson followed with 15 points each, while Mike Kochar recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds.
Kendrick Perry put on a great performance for the losers, scoring 29 points (9/15 2-points, 1/3 3-points, 8/11 shots), 6 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 steal and 2 turnovers in 29’15” the ground time.
