Adai Mara Gomet in the footsteps of Rubio and Doncic

17-year-old giant Adai Mara Gomet made his presence felt on Matchday 22 of Liga Endesa, reminiscent of Ricky Rubio and Luka Doncic.

Adai Mara Gomet has been the talk of the town in Spain for the past few days. The promising Spanish basketball giant put in his best performance – see you next time – in Zaragoza’s Liga Endesa Round 22 game against Obradeiro, and reminded a few other prodigies of that.

To be precise, at the age of 17 years and 11 months, Mara was scoring 15 points (3/5 2-pointers, 1/1 3-pointers 6/7 shots), racking up 5 rebounds, making 2 steals and dishing out 3 blocks. He somehow accumulated 22 rating system points and became only the fourth U18 player with 20+ PIR in a league game (since 1983, when that record started). The three others who have done so are Ricky Rubio, Luka Doncic and Usman Garuba.

Malaga has tied Kendrick Perry for another 2+1 years

Kendrick Perry has found his Ithaca in Malaga and has been rewarded with a new multi-year deal, staying with the Spanish club for another 2+1 years.

It may not have worked out for Panathinaikos, but Kendrick Perry was a perfect fit for Malaga, who signed an early contract extension for another 2+1 years with the Spanish club.

The 30-year-old guard, who won the Copa del Rey with Malaga, has averaged 11.5 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.8 in 40 games in all competitions (Endesa League, Cup and Basketball Champions League) this year Points.

This is Malaga’s second player transfer after Tyler Kalinoski and after Ybon Navarro was offered a new multi-year contract.

Imbon Navarro has been rewarded for Málaga’s outstanding performance this season and has extended his contract with the club until the 2025/26 season.

Imbon Navarro, who has signed an early contract extension with the Spanish club, is expected to be on the bench at Unicaja Málaga until the end of the 2025/26 season.

The 46-year-old coach led Malaga to the Copa del Rey while also leading his team to the 8th Basketball Champions League. At the same time, the Andalusian club is currently 5th in the Liga Endesa ranking with a record of 15-9.

Málaga became the second team from Spain to hastily sign their coach with a new multi-year contract in the middle of the season, after Gran Canaria had recently demonstrated something similar with Jaka Lakovic.

Barcelona showed their teeth in Badalona

Barcelona didn’t leave the slightest doubt in Badalona and clinched another Spanish league win. Satoransky and Sanli in high spirits.

A Catalan derby on paper only was that between Barcelona and Badalona, as part of Liga Endesa matchday 24, after the hosts scored an easy win (87-71) with Tomas Satoranski and Sertak Sanli in the role first violins.

The Czech guard finished the game with 19 points (5/5 twos, 3/5 trebles), 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and two turnovers, while the Turkish center offered 16 points without missing a shot. (3/3 doubles, 3/3 trebles, 1/1 shot) and 6 rebounds in 19’22” that he had to stay on the Palau Blaugrana floor.
