Trouble with Higgins at Barcelona. The American left the Real Madrid derby with back problems.
Corey Higgins only had 5:46 to play in the Clasico with Real Madrid on the 27th day of the Liga Endesa. The American from Barcelona experienced a sharp pain in his lower back which forced him to retire and miss the rest of the race.
According to the Catalans’ update, Higgins’ issue will be resolved in the coming days, as will his availability ahead of the EuroLeague quarter-final series against Zalgiris Kaunas.
In 32 regular-season EuroLeague games, Higgins averaged 8.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per 19:49.
