Message to stay in Barcelona for Sarunas Jasikevicius from official lips
Barcelona’s technical director has publicly expressed his support for Sarunas Jasikevicius remaining in charge of the Spanish team regardless of what happens this season.
Barcelona are chasing the EuroLeague and Liga Endesa titles to end the season on a positive note. Capturing the prestigious EuroLeague trophy is the “A” and the “O” for… the scales that will go into the final of the current season, but also into the decision on where (or not) Sarounas Jasikevicius will remain in the technical leadership of the Blaugrana.
However, a month before the final at the Zalgirio Arena, Barcelona’s technical director publicly expressed his support for the 47-year-old technician staying at the helm of the Spanish team because ‘he can create an era’.
Joseph Kubels characteristically observed that “There is a desire for Sarunas Jasikevicius to stay because we believe he can create an era (for Barcelona).“.
