27-year-old Laprovitola guided Barcelona against Gran Canaria
Exuberant performance from Nicolas Laprovitola, who scored 27 points to guide Barcelona to victory over Gran Canaria before the start of the EuroLeague play-offs.
With Nicolas Laprovitola in high spirits and 27 points (5/5 2 points, 3/8 3 points, 8/8 shots) in almost 27 minutes, Barcelona beat Gran Canaria in Game 29 Liga Endesa 87-79 to go 24- 5, which puts it at the top of the standings.
Sarunas Jasikevicius was without Alex Abrines and Corey Higgins, who are still recovering from their injuries in the Clasico against Real, and Nikola Kalinic, who had a fever and was unable to strengthen his squad. It remains to be seen which of these will be available at the start of the EuroLeague playoffs, in which the Blaugrana play Zalgiris at home.
