Barcelona idle Obradeiro, ice pack with Vesely ahead of Final Four
Nikola Mirotic scored a great goal in Barcelona’s 94-77 win over Obradeiro while Sarunas Jasikevicius waited to find out what was going on with Jan Vesely.
Barcelona’s home game against Obradeiro for the Spanish league consisted of two parts. The Catalans won (94-77) with Nikola Mirotic in terrible shape but they lost Jan Vesely and they don’t know for how long.
The Czech big man played 3:21 before retiring with acute lower back pain. Sarunas Jasikevicius hoped it wasn’t something serious that would leave him out for days or even weeks.
However, Mirotic seemed ready for the big semi-final on May 19 against Real Madrid as he scored 27 points in 21 minutes (5/6 doubles, 4/6 trebles, 5/5 shots) and accumulated 10 points in one rebound amazing, individual evening.
Obradeiro was led by Cassius Robertson (19 points), followed by Marek Blazevic (15 points, 4 rebounds) and Leo Westermann (13 points, 3/3 threes, 5 assists). The guests tried hard in the fourth quarter, but in the third quarter they fell far behind with 33:18 and suffered a logical defeat.
THE DECADES: 15-21, 35-32, 68-50, 94-77
