Real Madrid have secured the signing of Facundo Cabaso, according to Mundo Deportivo
According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid have signed Facundo Cabaso. What’s up with Eddie Tavares?
Facundo Cabaso has approved all pending Real Madrid returnees, Mundo Deportivo reported on Tuesday (May 23). The Catalan publication speaks of signatures between the two sides, thus definitively closing the concrete chapter.
The short guard has been Real Madrid’s wishful thinking of returning to the WiZink Center for some time, with the player himself making it clear to the entire market that he is not looking elsewhere. He wanted to return to Madrid and he succeeded, as Mundo Deportivo said when discussing signings between the two sides.
On the other hand, the same publication deals with the Eddie Tavares case and his contract. The Final Four MVP has committed to another year, with the “Queen” already expressing intent to extend it early. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the issue is stuck because of his earnings. You see, the amount of the current contract can reach 3.5 million euros, but half of it concerns the tax office – the athlete pays it.
Building on that, it’s noted that Eddie Tavares knows he can find a €2m (net) deal so he’s waiting to see if and to what extent Real Madrid will offer him something similar.
