Sergio Yul reached 1,000 games for Real Madrid
Sergio Yul was only the second player to reach 1,000 appearances for Real. Who is the other and what does Yul need to reach him?
Shortly after scoring the winning goal in the EuroLeague final, and more specifically after taking part in Real’s match against Betis in the last game of the Endesa regular season, Sergio Yul reached 1,000 appearances in the Madrid jersey in all competitions.
Now Felipe Reyes is the only Queen’s player with more games to finish his career with 1,046 appearances for Real. Yule can easily surpass that figure next season if he’s healthy as his team is sure to play more than 60 games in EuroLeague and ACB.
It should be noted that Yule joined Real at the age of 19 and after 17 seasons in Madrid he has collected 25 trophies (3 EuroLeague, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 7 Spanish leagues, 6 Copa del Rey and 8 Spanish Supercups). At the same time, the 35-year-old guard has 751 wins in those 1,000 appearances, while Reyes has had just three other positives.
