Gerson Jabusele charged (again) after Real’s defeat by Barcelona in the second game of the Spanish finals and smashed things in the dressing room, while Rudy Fernandez reportedly called the referees ‘sons of bitches’.
Real are now 2-0 down in the ACB finals after losing Game 2 to Barcelona in Barcelona and – according to Catalan newspaper SPORT – the Madrid side didn’t take the result particularly well.
As reported by the Catalan website, Gerson Jabusele was visibly upset with the referees’ decisions after the game and started breaking things outside the dressing room, which in recent months has been further proof that he can’t control his nerves . In addition, memories are still fresh of his fatal grab for Dante Exum, as well as the double whammy he made with a referee at last year’s finals with Barcelona.
At the same time, Rudy Fernandez was reportedly waiting for the referees’ whistle and shouted to them: “sons of dogs‘, to which the three referees did not react.
It remains to be seen whether this will have any consequences for the two Madrid players and Rudy in particular because if the referees record his reaction on the match sheet it will be difficult for him to avoid punishment.
