Jasikevicius angry at Real fans’ racist comments towards Naji: ‘It’s more important than a title’
Sarunas Jasikevicius has spoken out about the racist remarks made by Real fans towards James Nagy after Barcelona won the title, saying it must stop and is more important than any other league.
Barcelona won the Spanish league by beating Real Madrid 3-0, but after the game Sarunas Jasikevicius fought back the racist comments from Madrid fans with James Nagy as the receiver.
Real fans had booed the Barcelona bus before Game 3 saying many things. However, they got away with racist slurs towards the young center, Saras stayed with them after the game.
“I want to talk about what happened before the game. It’s sad. These things can’t happen. I hear everyone talking a lot about Vinicius and now we have to talk about this matter.” said Jasikevicius first and added:
“That has to stop. It doesn’t fit with the values of Real Madrid and its fans. We should be outraged about that. I don’t care if it’s a player from Real Madrid, Barcelona or any other team. Things like that just can’t happen. We have to control them and fight because that’s more important than a title.
James is a great boy and we want that to stop. I haven’t spoken to him yet. It’s a serious incident. It’s even more sensitive when it happens to your own people. We love James.
