Navarro on Jasikevicius: ‘I don’t think his whereabouts will be a problem’
Elaborating on Sarunas Jasikevicius’ contract, Juan Carlos Navarro expressed optimism, stating that both sides will find a way to continue their partnership.
The season ended successfully for Barcelona by winning the league. Naturally, with Nikola Mirotic departing, the Catalans’ biggest concern is whether Sarunas Jasikevicius will stay on the team’s bench. However, Juan Carlos Navarro was reassuring in his statements on the subject.
The Barcelona legend – and the team’s current technical director – sounded quite upbeat when asked to discuss Saras. “Jasikevicius’ contract is up and we want him to continue as our coach.” Navarro first explained and then added:
“I know we need to make some changes and if the project is good – and I’m sure it will be – we will let him know. I don’t think there will be a problem with his staying at Barcelona.
Concluding the matter, Navarro added: “Jasikevicius fully understands the club. As everyone knows there will be cutbacks at all levels and we will try to put together the best possible team. And we will make it.
Next season we will undoubtedly come back. I’ll take care of it. I am happy with how we ended the season and we are already working very hard for next season.”
