ACB condemns racism and xenophobia related to the Naji incident and Real fans
The ACB stressed that racism, xenophobia, violence and intolerance have no place in sport after Barcelona player James Nagy was verbally attacked by Real Madrid fans.
After Sarunas Jasikevicius, the organizing authority of the Spanish league also commented on the racist attacks Barcelona athlete James Nagy received from Real Madrid fans.
“ACB deeply regrets the serious insults received by Barcelona players from individuals as they got off the bus in front of the WiZink Center, where the third Liga Endesa final was being played.”
After collecting the VIDEOS circulating on TV and social media, the ACB forwarded the relevant information to the Anti-Violence Commission. The ACB would like to reaffirm its firm commitment against racism, xenophobia, violence and intolerance in sport.
Likewise, the ACB recalls that our basketball has been an example of diversity, inclusion and coexistence of fans, players and clubs for a decade and will ensure that it remains so.” ACB said in detail in a statement.
