Talks between Barcelona and Davis are stuck, Spanish media put Real, Armani and Efes in the frame
According to a Spanish publication, negotiations between Barcelona and Brandon Davis are stalled while the American’s fall is being watched at the same time by Real, Armani Milano and Anadolu Efes.
Brandon Davis’ contract expires in the summer, talks have started to extend his contract with Barcelona but the issue remains… stagnant. This is backed up by a post from Spanish site encestando that brings other teams into the game.
According to the publication, while there is a willingness on both sides to work together, the fact that the Catalans may have to cut their budget – like the club’s football team – complicates the situation. That suddenly brings three more suitors into play: Real, Anadolu Efes and Armani Milano. That is, three teams with a large “wallet” and strong status that can lure the American forward / center.
For the record, according to the same publication, Davis will be paid $3m “gross” this year, a number Barcelona are reportedly looking to lower.
