Looking to fill the void left by newly signed Dogius Ozdemiroglu, who has torn his cruciate ligament, Efes have targeted 20-year-old Dominican Republic defender Jean Montero.

Dogius Ozdemiroglu couldn’t enjoy his transfer to Anadolu Efes after tearing a cruciate ligament in Turkey’s friendly against Italy. Somehow, the Turkish team went back to the market to find a player in the guard position and fill their gap. Jean Montero’s name has been pretty loud in the last 24 hours.

As the Spanish La Provincia reports in their report, Efes is even willing to pay the transfer fee of 500,000 euros for the Gran Canaria player to which he belongs.

In the 2022/23 season, the 20-year-old Dominican Republic guard, who will also play at MundoBasket 2023, showed excellent performances in the Endesa league, playing on loan at Real Betis and scoring an average of 17.6 points, 3, 3 rebounds and 4.3 assists and 1.6 steals.
