Gianni Wetzel (26 years, 2.08 meters) will continue his career in Basconia, leaving the Oceania (NBL) Championship where he had his competitive explosion this year.
Basconia is a team that – traditionally – welcomes players from… all over the world. He did so now after coming to terms with New Zealand’s Gianni Wetzel (26-years-old, 2.08 metres), who caught the eye with the New Zealand Breakers jersey in the NBL (Oceania) Championship this season.
The news had been circulating for the past few days but the official announcement came from the Breakers, who announced his release and his inclusion in the Basque squad.
Wetzel averaged 17.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1 steal in 33 minutes this season.
